Better rebounder, better passer, better overall playmaker. I would also argue that Bird is a better defender, given his ability to guard against more positions (better defensive versatility).

No doubt, Bird began staking his claim as possibly the most dominant talent at the small forward spot in NBA history. By the time of his retirement, he would undisputedly become the best small forward ever.
