Well put. I could stomach "Well Burial at Sea occurs in a separate timeline from Bioshock 1 where yadda yadda yadda" but the game doesn't try to do this. Instead, they just toss the original story out the window and shove Elizabeth in. Standalone, the story is okay. But I don't like it specifically because of how it retcons Bioshock 1.
